Walker Flat ski (water ski) weekend on the  28/29 March 2026
The first Club event for the year is a water skiing weekend at Walker Flat , Saturday/Sunday 28/29 March -

Water skiing (if boat available), canoeing and general socialising weekend Walker’s flat.    Helen and Stefan have very kindly offered their waterfront home for this relaxing weekend
 

​Sunday May 3 - General meeting - Tower Hotel 

Skiing Japan 2026 with Guest speakers; Peter Mayer and Richard Sprod - skiing different resorts in Japan - how to get the best out of Japan skiing without paying for resort prices, being flexible and skiing great off piste areas!  Northern Honshu (starting with drinks at 5:30pm, first drinks paid for by the club - beer, wine and soft drinks, order meal if people want to stay at their own cost) for a 6pm sharp start, 1 hour of talking, followed by meal at 7pm meal at 7pm)
 

Sunday July 5 Celebration of winter - Mt . Osmond Golf Club

Meet at 10am at Dashwood Road, walk through the Brock Reserve to Golf Club, lunch at 12 noon.  Talk by Mark Johnston - Skiing this year in Australia/NZ!  Logistics, where we might go.  How are we going to organise the trip and who is interested in coming.

Monday August 3   General meeting ‘Skiing Canada and Japan 2027’

a presentation by Peter Mayer, other speaker/s TBA.  Tower Hotel.  6pm for 6:30 start. (first drink on the club, meal etc as per May 3 meeting).  

 

Sunday Oct 4    Potluck dinner at 5pm (daylight saving time).  

Sundowner BBQ at Thorndon Park.  BYO BBQ meat, Ski Club to provide salads and bread and ice creams! Insect repellant recommended !

Saturday Nov 7 AGM

- 6:00 for 6:30 start. AGM, followed by a meal at 7:15pm. Club to pay for the main course.  Tower hotel with guest speaker? (past events, trips and social)
